Information

After the recent announcement of the iPhone OS 3.0 and the new SDK, I felt it necessary to check it out and see what things I could play around with. Anyway, it seems that I’ve cropped up a new simple idea for an iPhone app which will be released very soon after the release of iPhone OS 3.0 to the general public.

The new app that is currently in development is quite a simple, but effective, idea. The app will contain a general connect screen where you can enter your Facebook credentials and start a session with the Facebook website. This then means that you can start using the apps cool features. Once logged in, the app will ask if it can use your profile to post status updates and access your feed. Obviously this would be necessary for the whole idea to work – And no, we don’t invite all your friends to the app at all nor do we keep on posting little feed items without your knowledge.

The basis of the app is to create a Twitter-like environment for your iPhone’s Facebook needs! This really means that you can have a really simple and quick way to post your status updates.

The example status update that will be seen on Facebook.com has ‘via TwitBook’ beside it like the below screenshot:

Internet has been restored!

Finally the new router came today, the line has been fixed and we are back online!

This can mean only one thing… iPhone Apps! – I can now finally test Twitterville efficiently and quickly due to the new internet (before I was testing it 99% of the time over GPRS.. not even EDGE..)

Now that’s all sorted I can get out as many betas of Twitterville as I can before finally releasing it to the public! I will also be looking into the next version of iMood now too.

iMood Update 1.2 Available!

Finally, after a couple of weeks of iTunes Connect errors on Apple’s side (rejecting the app after around 2 days without any reason) the newest update can now be downloaded!

I have changed the description a little and also changed the screenshots (as the old screenshots were from an unreleased and older version).

This update contains the following changes:

- Update your status onto Twitter
- Email your mood to your friends!
- Add your own photo & chat

- Theme colour change
- Bug fixes
- UI Changes
- Larger font on messaging

(The changes in bold are brand new features!)

I have already started on iMood 1.2.1 which will contain a number of small changes (including a new ‘Preset Messages’ feature).

iMood – Progress on ‘Preset Messages’ function

Someone had emailed me earlier on this month about letting people have the ability to add preset messages to the chat/scrolling message function which, would mean they could save messages to quickly view up without having to type in again.

Well! With a currently in development version of iMood you can do just that!

The way to save the messages is in the iPhone System Settings area. I find this the best place as it means iMood does not have to be loaded up in order to save preset messages.

Here are some screenshots of the iMood Preset Msgs (Still in development) in action.

DonkPad Lite Available! (And DonkPad 1.0.1 update)

photoDonkPad Lite is now available!

As of last night there have been two new updates revolving around DonkPad. Firstly DonkPad (Full version) has now been updated to version 1.0.1 and can be downloaded as an update for free. Also, DonkPad Lite is now available for download! This is a free version with less features than the original full DonkPad and should only be used as a try out before buying the full version.

iMood – Update slow to arrive

imood57

There seem’s to have been a mistake on iTunes Connect as the update has been there for a long time and no news, it randomly got rejected yesturday without any reasoning so I have uploaded the newest version (meant to be 1.3) in replace. So fingers crossed you will soon see updated features such as:

  • Twitter support
  • Email your mood
  • Bug fixes
  • Full screen (hiding the status bar)
  • Theme changed
  • UI Fixes
  • Removal of adverts

Let’s hope it’s reviewed and accepted soon enough! I can’t wait for you all to get this update :)

iMood 1.2 update coming soon. (And 1.3)

iMood 1.2 update soon!

I’ve said before but anyway, iMood update 1.2 has been sent to the app store last week and should be hearing back very soon.

iMood 1.3 is being finalised and should be ready to submit when 1.2 has been made available.

  • Added TWITTER support (tweet your current mood!)
  • Added more moods to choose from for Twitter updating
