After the recent announcement of the iPhone OS 3.0 and the new SDK, I felt it necessary to check it out and see what things I could play around with. Anyway, it seems that I’ve cropped up a new simple idea for an iPhone app which will be released very soon after the release of iPhone OS 3.0 to the general public.
The new app that is currently in development is quite a simple, but effective, idea. The app will contain a general connect screen where you can enter your Facebook credentials and start a session with the Facebook website. This then means that you can start using the apps cool features. Once logged in, the app will ask if it can use your profile to post status updates and access your feed. Obviously this would be necessary for the whole idea to work – And no, we don’t invite all your friends to the app at all nor do we keep on posting little feed items without your knowledge.
The basis of the app is to create a Twitter-like environment for your iPhone’s Facebook needs! This really means that you can have a really simple and quick way to post your status updates.
The example status update that will be seen on Facebook.com has ‘via TwitBook’ beside it like the below screenshot:
