iMood Screenshots

I thought I’d post a couple of screenshots of what is being done on iMood at the moment. The first screenshot shows the main page where you can access the normal features plus the Twitter updates and Photo & Chat.

This second screenshot shows the new Photo & Chat feature where you can select your own photo to be used aswell as adding your own text.

DonkPad Lite Available! (And DonkPad 1.0.1 update)

photoDonkPad Lite is now available!

As of last night there have been two new updates revolving around DonkPad. Firstly DonkPad (Full version) has now been updated to version 1.0.1 and can be downloaded as an update for free. Also, DonkPad Lite is now available for download! This is a free version with less features than the original full DonkPad and should only be used as a try out before buying the full version.

Bug fixing and packing…

I am just packing ready to head off to London this afternoon/evening! I’ll be on Twitter and be on my laptop on the way down there as I’ve got lots of work to be getting on doing. I was going to post and update for iMood, but there is bug which is taking up some time so I’ll be posting it probably at the end of this week.

If you have any questions, you can find the FAQs at the top right hand corner of this blog where you can find contact information etc.

iMood Updates

I have currently got my head stuck into a new release of iMood to add to Cydia with version 1.1.1. This will contain bug fixes for current filed bugs and also some user interface changes and an updated chat feature. When this is released I will also put the changes into the next release for the App Store which will come out at version 1.1 on there as oppose to 1.1.1 for Cydia.

After 1.1.1 for Cydia is released and version 1.0 through to 1.1 are added to the App Store, I will continue developing for version 1.2 which will be a much larger update containing some brand new features to iMood! I can’t wait!

DonkPad Updates

You may/may not know that DonkPad will NOT feature on Cydia due to certain costs, however you will be able to find it on the App Store very soon. I will be making some competitions for people to win copies of DonkPad or to give away to your friends, so watch out for I’ll be posting up details soon on this blog and on Twitter.

As you may have also seen from my blog posts, since releasing iMood to Cydia I’ve had a lot of feedback and implementing your ideas into iMood. When version 1.2 has been released I’ll be concentrating getting DonkPad up to scratch and will be releasing an update for that. (I have already got version 1.0.1 of DonkPad under heavy development and is close to getting sent to Apple).

I will be regularly posting on Twitter and can still be contact by email if you have any questions etc about my apps.

Any other apps coming Dom?

Yes! There are! However, I cannot release too much information about this app due to the fact I’d like it to be a surprise to you all! I can’t wait to get a good, stable, and feature packed app out to you so hold on as I’ll be releasing details to this brand new app on this blog over the next couple of months.

Dom, I’m bored of reading your blog posts and want some real screenshots and exciting news!?

Well! Very soon in the future I’ll be making a website with plenty of screenshots, videos and other cool interesting things (not just about my iPhone apps etc). You can always decide to follow me on Twitter or even send me an email, I’ll be happy to reply to any of you.

Another brand new app on the way!

Another new app coming!

Just you wait and see...!

After the creation of the first app, I instantly started on the second (coming to the app store soon). I am currently developing it and doing the graphics, and after testing it on a few devices it’ll be ready for the App Store! Hopefully you guys will like it!

I’ll post up some screenshots etc once it is useable and graphical!

Release Date: February 2009

iPhone App #1 Completed

My first ever iPhone App has now been completed! It’s at home ready to be finalised and sent to Apple for review. There’s a few things that I may add, but that will be for a future version after its initial release.

I’ve also started my second App for the App Store. I’ll be releasing all the details & screenshots to them in the website and an updated post on here.

I’ve still got to make the pages for my iPhone App being sent off yet, but expect a post about it on here soon.

New directions!

Hello all!

Again, I apologise for the lateness of my posts these days! I’ve just had no time with lot’s of work being done over Christmas and this New Year coming.

Anyway, back to what I’m trying to say…

The past few weeks I’ve been looking to invest in an iMac so I can start developing my own applications for the iPhone and for Mac in general. I’ve already had my head stuck in a few projects as of the past few months creating a few applications and bespoke software for MS Windows. I’m helping out with the rest of the development, testing and documentation of a final product and then I shall be on my way to getting the iMac I’ve been dreaming of.

Of course you may/may not know that I’ve not been keeping up with my main website either, nor have I been making any of my old ‘Flash Animations’ which I used to spend 90% of my time making. This is going to slightly change as I’ve started to develop more applications  than animations (as I find they do pay out a bit more…).

So starting early 2009 I will be redesigning and remaking a website for the applications that I am going to be developing for a number of platforms. Once this has kicked off I may start some Open Source projects, but as one person this will take a little more time managing and creating the right resources to be distributing the code around effectively, and taking in the response as best as I can.

One of the things that I am going to concentrate on, is the idea of posting screenshots and new information when products have been updated and when good development is going on. This way users can have their say and give feedback to improve a product further.

Anyway, so I’m just going to leave you with a few bullet points on the future for what me/my team will be starting:

  • Less animations, more software.
  • Completely new website and theme.
  • New means of communication to users. (IRC/Twitter/AIM/GTalk/Wiki/)
  • More updated Blog posts and Twitter posts.
  • Starting developing for Mac OS X.
  • Starting developing for iPhone OS.
  • Release of future MS Windows software.
  • Release of Open Source software once team and site has built up.

On that note, hope you all have a great new year and I’m sure 2009 will bring many good things!

Dominic.

Simply press the Compatibility View button if you see display problems on a website like misaligned text, images, or text boxes. It’s located next to the Refresh button on the Address Bar.

NEW Flash Videos (Coming Soon…)

As my old flash company went down the drain (although I did get some cash for it), I’m remaking a new Flash team for creating short animations, web features and other cool things to do with Adobe Flash.

I’m currently reinstalling the software and in a few months time you shall start seeing some of my our cartoons apearing once again on sites such as here, Newgrounds, Digg and other places that I decide to publish them to.

I’m also changing my name, as it used to be Broomvideos (which came along with my own website). This name has not been thought up of yet, but I will be announcing it in the near future, along with the hope of a new website to view them all, and to have links to this Blog you are reading now.

I will post any more information as soon as it comes through to the in’s and out’s of how the team will work, past experience and more interesting stuff.
