Update 1.2 is currently in the works and will be released soon! Aiming at making 1.2 bug free, quick and a general great update.

iMood Update 1.2 Available!

Finally, after a couple of weeks of iTunes Connect errors on Apple’s side (rejecting the app after around 2 days without any reason) the newest update can now be downloaded!

I have changed the description a little and also changed the screenshots (as the old screenshots were from an unreleased and older version).

This update contains the following changes:

- Update your status onto Twitter
- Email your mood to your friends!
- Add your own photo & chat

- Theme colour change
- Bug fixes
- UI Changes
- Larger font on messaging

(The changes in bold are brand new features!)

I have already started on iMood 1.2.1 which will contain a number of small changes (including a new ‘Preset Messages’ feature).

What’s happening with my apps

I just thought I’d post a very quick post updating you on the current situation with my apps and where they stand with updating and the App Store.

DonkPad

DonkPad had been reviewed by Apple and a small has been made on my part (also meaning most of the 1.0.1 update went into version 1.0) and has been sent back again to Apple so it shouldn’t be long before that gets reviewed and accepted.

iMood

iMood 1.0 has been accepted by Apple and I am just awaiting the setup completion of my contracts before this will appear on the App Store.

iMood 1.1 is underway and there are plenty of new features to be added and I am currently working on a small bug, which when sorted will be ready for submitting to the App Store.

iMood Ready For Sale!

Finally! I got a response off Apple last night and they have accepted my iMood app! However, it seems I am now waiting for my contracts to be completed by Apple and then it should be up on the App Store!

DonkPad is also not far off now!

iPhone Developer Program

I’ve been accepted! Tonight I’ll be installing the 2.2.1 SDK, the new iPhone Firmware and sorting out all of the certificates.

Fingers crossed I’ll have time to upload at least one of my apps tonight to iTunes Connect. And if I can, I’ll upload my second app however this is still under development.

Future plans

I thought it useful to post up a list of my future plans for over the next few years.

iPhone App Store

  • I will be posting updates as soon as I can get them coded and uploaded to iPhone Connect for customers.
  • With each app and update I’ll be learning more and more of Objective-C, Xcode and iPhone development so that should help me in the long run produce more professional and better developed apps for release.
  • The pricing for apps are going to differ from free to an amount I feel worthy of the time put into the app.
  • I will be learning throughout the year and for a number of years, as long as I can go for producing apps on my own, as a team, or part of a company.
  • Money from the first apps is going towards a new iMac where I will developing more applications and giving me a better and quicker machine to develop my apps on.

Mac OS X

  • You may have briefly seen in an older post, but I will be making a few apps for Mac in the future once the iPhone development has properly kicked off. I will be posting updates on this later on this year, probably after June 09 you will hear any bulk of news about this.
  • It’s too early to say at the moment, but I have plans to develop a program for the Mac which will coincide with an app on the iPhone, bring users together in one place… online.

Windows

  • Although it may not seem it, but I will be creating a number of highly developed Windows programs in languages such as Java, C++, C# or whichever suits the purpose best.
  • Development of these programs probably will not start till late 2010 due to a busy couple of years for me.
  • I will be doing a course on Computer Science at university to further my study into programming which will be based on Windows and will help me develop better programs for the Microsoft user base out there.

Another Mobile OS or Platform?

  • Android?
  • I may start learning and developing for the Android OS once it picks up, however I’d have to save up for a development device.
  • But who knows?! I will keep you all posted when news becomes available on my behalf.

Updates on apps in development from me

Release date: February 2009
Estimated Price: (Currently under review at £0.59)
Screenshots: Available on release date

I am currently waiting on news from Apple, I suspect you will probably hear more about this late January. In the mean time, I am fixing a few tiny bugs, and having a look at a 1.1 update with new features and graphical changes. More news will be featured on this after reviews on the current version have come in and more bugs reported (although I don’t reckon there are any outstanding after this weeks development is completed).

Screenshots: Coming soon

This is still really early in the development so it’s hard to give accurate ETAs. But I can tell you, the app is now usable, however it still needs a lot of changing and testing before it can even be considered ‘App Store ready’. The current things which need changing will probably take just over a week, however the timescale to complete the app fully may be much longer however I do suspect a mid-February release once the testing has been fully completed on a number of devices.

Another brand new app on the way!

Another new app coming!

Just you wait and see...!

After the creation of the first app, I instantly started on the second (coming to the app store soon). I am currently developing it and doing the graphics, and after testing it on a few devices it’ll be ready for the App Store! Hopefully you guys will like it!

I’ll post up some screenshots etc once it is useable and graphical!

iMood – Coming to the App Store

iMood iPhone App

The app I have made is now pretty much ready for release! I’ve ticked all the boxes and the app should be on the way to the App Store soon. Any future updates will be posted on here and on Twitter first, so there is no need to go to any other websites (even the website for my team as this is usually updated later on).

picture-2

iMood is an application to help you show others your feelings, or an easier way to communicate. iMood is ideal for situations where you can’t talk (i.e. Library, Classroom), or for in places where you can’t hear each other (i.e. Gig, Concert, Club). You have two options on the main page, Moods and Chat. Moods is the section where you can choose a large emoticon and even have the choice to add your own text to it. The chat section is a place where you can really just communicate by words. After typing in your message, you can have the choice of colors and speed, and let it scroll across the iPhone’s large screen in landscape mode.
